Knob under driver's seat

Default **** under driver's seat

Im really confused. Whats that **** sort of lever thing under the drivers seat of my 92 chevy s10 blazer 4dr. It goes through the carpet into what looks like it going to the undercarriage of the truck. Its got a black **** at the end and u just pull it, but i have no idea wut it does

Uhh.... never heard of that. Fuel Door Release? Have you checked your owner's manual? I had a '91 2 dr. and I don't remember it having that lever.

Best way to find out what it does is to figure out where it goes. Crawl under the truck and find it from underneath then follow it to where it ends? It is possible that the previous owner added what is called a Posi-Lok, it works on the 4x4 engagement in the front differential. Blazers are known to have a problem with the vacuum actuated 4HI mechanism that sits under the battery box.

It sounds like either a front axle lock like 20blazer00 said or a Power take off (usually used to drive some sort of pump...ie..tilt bed or snow plow...etc.).

What would the "posi-lock" do, and when to i have to use it?....i'll check today where it leads

i followed the cable from the ****, and it leads to what i think is the differential. I have to push the **** in, but it doesnt seem to do anything.

?

My friend has the same blazer. We layed down fresh carpet through out his truck and when we took out all the seats, I don't remember seeing any thing like that. That's strange. Gotta be aftermarket.
