Default Manual 4x4 shifter

A bucket fell of the sidewalk as I was passing (at Highway Speed) and went under the truck. I pulled over and put the passenger side of the truck on the sidewalk so I could pull the bucket out. After pulling the bucket out, I got back in and tried to drive off now the 4x4 lever is extremely hard to move. What should I check first?

You could check to see if the shift lever on the transfer case is bent at the end of the shift linkage. Or a bent linkage.
