Default Metal Shavings on drain plug

How much metal shavings should there be on my magnetic oil pan plug before I get worried. I didn't notice it the last time I changed my oil but this time there was some on there and I never remember seeing this on any of my other vehicles. The truck has 21,000 miles on it now and this is only my 2nd time changing the oil myself. I suppose it could be from the break in but...is this normal or should I be worried? Since I have owned it, I have changed or had the oil changed every 3,000 miles but the last time I wasn't paying as close attention as this time so I don't know if they have been there or not.

It depends on the size of the particles. Are you just seeing a suedo sludge on the magnet or are you seeing full on shavings (flakes)? I would think that a small amount of metal laiden oil would be normal for an engine at the young age of 21k miles...

Well suedo sludge or shavings or flakes I cannot really differentiate between lol. They looked kinda like the little metal particles inside of one of those kids toys where you use the magnetic wand to put "hair" on the guys head/mustache etc. So will these shavings continue throughout the trucks like or were they break on particles?
