95 4.3Lt Vortec 4door 2wheel drive 137200miles the temps around here haveben in the 100s(southern mississippi)

ok i cant speel thismorning but 2 days ago i notaced a rattel comming from under the passenger seat when i idel. i also hear it when i rev it up(it gets louder) and when i speed up i hear it but no as loud. I am thinking it is the car converter. another thing i notaces is that it has a little bit of a ruf idel now and it dont have all the power it did and it seem to surge(only word i can think of) when i speed up. and if i stop the gas it seems to bog down.

any help would be helpful.

If it sounds like a brick rattling around in a tin can, then it's your catalytic converter.

 

hmmm... I have a rattle on my 95 only hear it when ya first start off the line then it shuts up... best way I can describe it is like 2 thin sheets of metal next to each other and a vibration... or... if you took a empty coke can and put it on an air conditioning unit behind your house while it's runnin'..... I've just assumed it's the CAT... seems like this is a common problem on the blazers... am I correct in my assumption?
