service engine light
99 blazer with 80000 miles, followed suggested service life, (oil changes, filters pcv etc) .. last two months getting service engine light. Appears to be gas related. buying from different stations seems to be the key. yet I am purchasing from major suppliers. Occassionally a discount ie: costco
Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks and best regards,
Gramps

RE: service engine light
i dont know if its the same thing but my blazer has 91k now....and at about 85k i had a similar problem.....it ended up being the maf sensor that needed to be replaced.......as soon as i changed the maf the light went off.....i got mine at a junkyard off a 97 and i have had no problems since...cost me 30 bucks give it a try....also i think if u just open up your air box and let it run with no filter ull see the light go off and if it does that probably means its the maf(saw my mechanic do it)

RE: service engine light
Get 'er scanned. Its throwing a code. From there you'll get an idea on what to do. Good luck.

RE: service engine light
I agree. Get it scanned. Auto Zone will do it for free. At least you'll have a place to start. The Service Engine Light could come on for any number of reasons.
