No but don't want to be ducking stray shots and run away bad shots. You would be surprised at how sauced up they get waiting for one to come by and just how bad of a shot they really are. Heck saw a group of 6 stumbling down the middle of the road wondering where their hit went. They never did find it, but found their keg they left behind.

ORIGINAL: a_tack

I had a friend (he passed away on mothers day this year... 19 years old.....:() who blew 2 motors in a turboed Evo 8..... mechanic said it was due to the synthetic oil breaking down...... a sheer matter of owner preference......

My last car was a 2005 Evo 8. Some girl ran a red light and I totalled it :(

EVO's come with Mobil 1 synthetic from the assy line. They even come with an oil cap that says "full synthetic oil required" and has the Mobil 1 emblem on it.
The EVO community is not that large, and I have NEVER heard of anybody putting dino oil in an EVO.

Synthetic oil did not blow your friend's motor ...that mechanic was pulling stuff out of his butt.
