transfer case fluid
Hi guys, the dealer sold to me 2 liters of autotrac fluid(blue) for my transfer case (blazer 1996 push button 4x4).
When I arrived at home,I removing the drain plug immediately(hot fluid) and I was surprise when I saw the red fluid and only about 750 ml drop in the pan.
What do you think about that guys?
Can I refill my TC with the autotrac fluid?
Thank you guys

I forgot guys,I drained my rear differential too and I would like to know if it's a good idea to clean it with brake cleaner?
Thank you!!

RE: transfer case fluid
The Autotrac is overkill for anything but the AWD and Auto4wd transfer cases, but it will work in there just fine.
As far as the rear diff, yeah, brake cleaner (non-chlorinated) will do a great job of cleaning out the rear diff. You'll just want to make sure that there is no product left in the diff when you close it back up and start to fill it. I use an air hose to disperse the left over brake cleaner so it will evaporate.
