Default 01 Custom Exhaust Ideas

Hey Im sorry if this is a repost but I have a 2001 blazer 2dr 4x4 and I want to make a custom exhaust that makes my 4.3 sound REAL good. I need some suggestions and tips?

I looked around this forum but couldn't find any relating topics.

You read all 28 pages (546 threads) in that section without any ideas popping up?
What exactly do you have in mind?

Well a wider pipe and good muffler and also pass emissions.

Each of those points have been discussed many times in the various threads I referenced, but here it is in a nutshell:
1. With the stock 4.3L engine there is almost nothing to be gained by increasing the size of the exhaust pipe without adding headers (very limited selection available).
2. Pick your muffler by what sounds good to your ears. Once again, stock engine does not show meaningful gain with a muffler change. It's a matter of personal preference.
3. As long as you leave the catalytic converter (required by Federal law), changing the pipe size and muffler will not hurt emission figures.

No I know that the size wont effect the emissions. I was just wondering if most aftermarket companies will. Also Im looking for a loud low growl to it that wont sound bad for a V6.

Also what good headers are available for it?

There are lots of videos on YouTube of Blazer exhaust system sounds. Browse them and see what muffler brand sounds good to you. You can see in my signature what choice I made.

Not having any interest in adding headers, I don't recall the one or two that I have seen that were appropriate for your year. I feel that without adding a performance cam and true cold air intake, headers would not be worth the money and effort required. Others may have a different opinion.
