Yeah I put a 40 series dual chamber muffler on my 96 and it sounds pretty good....I installed it myself with a little ingenuity and a friends welder....I welded it all up except the last piece of pipe that goes from the back of the muffler out the back of the blazer....I started it and it rumbled and sounded great...than I tack welded the last piece of pipe up and started it again and it was real quiet that last piece of pipe really stole the rumble...so I took off the last piece of pipe and welded me a curved piece of short pipe that points straight at the ground

Another thing you might consider is putting on a high flow catalytic converter.....the stock ones really rob you of air flow......

Go with Flowmaster Original 40 Series muffler offset in center out 2.25 in or 2.5 in. I used 2.25 in my 04' Blazer part #42441. Im sure this is what your lookin for. It sounds great. I also cut the cat that had a terible rattle.

That Flowmaster 40 in the first vid on page one sounded amazing! I'm definitely going to have to do that on mine.

Just fyi: Thrush Welded ($30) = Flowmaster 40 ($70)

And = means sounds/flows exactly the same, only the Thrush tends to rust less and drone less.

I went from a 40 series delta to a 50 series delta and now I'm on a Magnaflow and I can't tell you how much better it is and it has no drone at all. Better fuel economy and I can feel it in the seat on acceleration - way better than any of the Flowmasters I had.

Outside of the Blazer, it sounds remarkably similar to the 50 series delta( I was worried when he drove it around) except it doesn't pop and get raspy like the FMs when the RPMs start comming down.

Just my .02
