Is Bigger Better?
#1
I am settled on buying a Cherry Bomb Glasspack muffler... but i have not decided on the size! Which size would be loudest? Shorter, or longer?
Also, would bigger or smaller Inlet/Outlet pipe size be louder? I am looking for optimal sound out of the most effective size!

A longer glasspack will have a deeper sound/tone to it. I really wouldent worry about the inlet/outlet size unless you change the pipeing and thats the size you want to stick with

As said length is gonna determine sound, short will be louder but not have a very pleasant tone. Longer will be a bit quieter but have a nicer sounding tone to it.
The inlet and outlet size just depends on the size of the exhaust under the truck.

x2. The short ones are a lot louder, however they sound tinny and almost ricey to me. Go with the longer ones if you want a deeper/closer to a v8 sound

you could always dump it right after the glasspack insted of having a pipe go all the way to the back. this way you could get a long one, have the deeper sound, and it would still be loud. Its a fairly significant difference between the pipe running the whole way back and dumping it. now the only problem is depending on where you live it won't pass inspection... but it looks like u r in north carolina idt they do much inspecting down there?

i could do that and then clamp on the resp of the pipe for inspections! i was gonna clamp on the muffler all together until i could afford to have it welded. but if i have it welded and stop the pipe right after the glass pack i could clamp pipe on for 30 mins... have it inspected... and take it right back off!!

I hate inspections... my roof lights, exhaust, tinted bumper lights and tinted tail lights, and my tires stick out too far... I hate inspections
