what do you guys think about this cat back system?? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

is it worthwhile? does anyone know if it sounds nice? will it improve mpg at all?

i am asking cause the birthday is coming and parents are asking what i want

Looks alright. I would opt for a 2.75" or 3.00" diam insted though. That outa open 'er up! JMO

yea id say do 2.75".....a 3" may cause you to loose to much back pressure which will result in a loss in performance

i can't afford the 3" that they have at that site

i am asking about the 2.5" cause that it what is in the budget

ah gotcha. I've personaly never dealt with dynomax but i have heard of em.

2.5 is kinda small but it might just do the trick for u

That 2.5" will be just fine, I have this same exhaust and it sounds nice, deep and not too loud. Its only aluminized steel, not stainless, but for the price you can buy a second one if you have problems later and still have money left over. I have had mine for almost 3 years now and no problems at all, just a little discolored. Stock size is 2.25" and 2.5" isn't small considering my the Duramax diesel trucks only have 3", the restrictions in your exhaust are the exhaust manifold, the crossover pipe, and the muffler. 2.75" or 3" doesn't gain you that much on a Blazer.

nice

my biggest thing was sound because i knew that since all i was really replacing was the muffler performance would not change too much

i am glad to hear that it has a nice tone

If youre looking for LOUD, then its not the right one, but if you want a deep tone, and louder than stock, its a good, affordable exhaust
