Question do i need dual Exhasut for the 5.7L?

Hi All,
i Got a 87 K5 with 5.7L engine in it with one tube exhaust system.
my question is; do i need to convert it to dual exhaust? will i gain anything? (i'm not intrested in how it sound as much as the performance).

Thanks experts.

Nope you dont. You will easily be fine with a 3" pipe all around. For performance gains you could do dual 2.25 with killer low end or 2.5 with an x pipe!

Yeah, a single 3" system will be good for you. Now, if you want duals then you can certainly do those. Or just do a single 3" pipe into a single in/dual out muffler for the dual look.
