Flowmaster Homework Assignment
I just spent the entire night looking for a GOOD sound clip for me to compare the flowmaster 40 series to the 50... and I couldn't find a good clip of either.
I'm officially leaning towards the 40 now,
But could someone go outside... drop a rag over their video camera to dampen the wind noise and other ambient BS and post up a video of their 40 series exhaust??? Or 50 series?
I would really appreciate it, I personally don't like the Magnaflow exhaust, or the Thrush and Cherry Bomb mufflers, they're not deep sounding enough IMO, I'm trying to get the least amount of "BARK" possible at WOT. I know there's no way of eliminating it because it's the nature of the V6...

When you floor the throttle on our V6's, some aftermarket exhausts tend to amplify the higher pitched range, producing a sort of BARK... I've noticed that the Flowmasters tend to keep that end of the Blazer's voice in check... But I can't be sure because all of the videos that I've seen/heard are so distorted from wind noise and ****ty cameras. Mostly wind noise though...
A folded rag over the mic will actually serve to dampen wind noise very well, the wind noise is actually produced by the wind hitting the mic or blowing through the little holes that open up for the mic on the camera.

I actually spent last night looking at Youtube videos to try and hear the difference between a 40 and a super 44.
I am leaning towards the super 44 because (from what I can tell) it sounds about the same as the 40, only louder. Since I will be running dual pipes, and the video wasn't, I figure it might quiet down the noise a bit.
