How does a glasspack style muffler sound on the 4.3L if you replace the stock muffler with it and keep stock pipe? Who makes the best glasspack style muffler? And what are the stock in/out tubing diameters?

 

From the flange behind the cat to the tail pipe it is 2 1/4" pipe I'm not personally a big fan of a glasspack behind a 4.3 it's kind of ricey in my opinion.

 

A friend of mine has a 4.3L equiped Silverado 1500. He has a large glasspack and splits off to duals in the back. The thing sounded pretty good when he first got it done, but expect to be replacing the glasspack within a year or two cause you'll blow all of the sound deadening material out of it in that time span and it will start to sound like crap.
