If you have cats they wont be that loud.

I have ONE on my 4.3 and have had "turbo tubes" ( kinda like glasspacks but without the fiberglass) on a 350 v8 SBC, as long as you run the cat it will be alot quieter then you think. Wont even sound like a glasspack honestly.

I don't know what you are expecting to gain from running true dual exhaust... Other than the fact that it'll sound like dualing 3 cylinder engines... Which in my opinion, doesn't sound good at all. You can get the same gains with a properly sized single exhaust. You need to take into account what you have already done to your engine, etc as well as determine what you want out of the whole package.

So in short, whats the single best (besides headers) upgrade for the exhaust? (2nd gen)

1/4" bigger piping
cutting out the cat
replacing the muffler
modding the bends

im sure theres more.

I'd like true duals but I'm not even sure how you could run them. I took a look under my truck and realized there really is no room at all on the driver's side, I guess the best way to do it is dual outlets and run dual pipes out that way? And wouldn't dual straight pipes cut out too much back pressure?

Do you have a vid or audio of your 350? Bet that must sound insane.

im sure u could run two 2" pipes side bye side all the way down the passangers side with the glass packs off set. the only other problem might be the cats. and a cross over will be nessasary. i ran true duals this way on my 98 silverado with dual thrush glass packs and only a 1 1/4 cross over. sounded mean as all. i also had the 21" long 3" round slash cut chrome tips. i plan on trying this on my wifes 97!

Yeah, that's because it's a big truck and 21" 3" tips look good. I don't even think you could run 21" long tips on a blazer without them sticking out unless you ran them through the back, which would be pointless because you'd probably see like 2 inches of it. Can't you do a crossover on the Blazer by the rear axle?

A cross-over connects the two banks of the exhaust system.
