I want to change out the exhaust on my Blazer to a Flowmaster Super 44 with no cats, but I'm not sure on whether or not I should do this because in another 2000 miles I'll hit the 140,000 mile mark. Now if I did this would I be causing any type of engine damage? Or would it be best to just buy a new Blazer and start from there? Also, my exhaust tail-pipe shakes really really bad when it's running and ideling, is this good or bad? I have had a new cat put on because the other one busted after so long of running I would guess. Any thoughts on this (good or bad) I apperciate it!

running without cats is a federal offense so i would advise against plus youll do more harm than good, but if you want to add an aftermarket exhaust system or just swap mufflers it shouldnt do any harm. as far as your shaking tail pipe i would crawl underneath the truck and see if a hanger came loose.

An aftermarket exhaust is always a good thing, unless your putting something with the wrong application somewhwere its not supposed to. I would deffinitally do the exhaust. As for running the cats, as bad as I dont want to, you need them to pass inspection.

As far as the inspection goes, not many places at all check for cats or anything else around here. Most of them look for a current license plate, headlights and tail-lights. My friend has a Chevy 1500 with Glasspacks and no cats. And he passes no problem. Just for reference lol. But if it will be more trouble than it's worth than I'll stay with the cats.
