Got some questions!!
this is my first blazer ive ever owned and its a 1989 silverado blazer and its the first year of fuel injection. the engine was just rebuilt before i bought it and the transmission was rebuilt 6 months ago. i was wondering if any body could give me some tips or hints on how to add more horsepower to my truck. like am i able to put a chip, a throttle body spacer, cold air intake, or anything in it. im really new to this and i was wondering if anybody could give me some info to help me out.
I assume it has a 350?
Some things to add power could be--a cam, higher ratio rocker arms, different heads.
Some things to free up little power are custom exhaust, headers, and underdrive pulleys.
It looks like the tires are quite a bit bigger than stock, you could do a gear swap to get some better performance off the line, too, but if you want to be able to use your 4wd, you'll have to do this for front and rear.
What is your budget, skill level, desired power output, and use for the blazer? Those things will determine exactly what direction you decide to go for more power.

Nice looking K5.
I would start by doing some of the TBI mods (injector spacer, different air filter base, performance chip, etc). You can check out thirdgen.org as they have a pretty comprehensive TBI modification page.
Headers will really help get to the true potential of the restrictive heads, but if you want to make big power, the heads have to go.
And the snowball starts! LOL It really comes down to what you want out of it.

Deff a sick truck! I love the way it looks with the cap off. My sister had a K5 and my brother in law did the work and he did long tube headers, cam, and dual exhaust and wow what a monster that truck became. Dont remember if he did an msd ignition or not but as swartlkk says it really does come down to what you want and how much money your willing to spend
thanks for all the tips i just went out and bought a new coil, distributor wires and a k&n air filter. im gonna put that in it and hoping it will give me some more power and better gas milage.
i am thinking about chiping in but i dont know what kind i should get and that would run good with my truck. does anyone got any suggestions.
and i would also like to put some headers on it also any sugestions for what puts out good power.
and ya its a 350

Best way to get that thing to move would be lower gears, like 4.56's if it doesn't already have them those will do nicely for tires that big. Then i'd go with headers and full mandrel bent exhaust, either 3" single or 2.5" true duals, if you go duals then use a crossover pipe. After that, check out http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum.php and http://www.tbichips.com/default.htm for more ideas.
As said earlier gears can deffinitally help. You would want full length/long tube headers and depending on what your looking to do if you do headers and also 2.5" duals to get the most out of your exhaust. A cam would be a great way to add power to expecially if you do headers/exhaust work and then a tune. Then you will be surely making some power!!!
