Gutted stock muffler
I've seen dyno results where straight through mufflers made more horsepower than chambered ones, but I haven't seen any results on the effect on torque. I'm one of those guys who cares more about torque than horsepower. To me, horsepower gains have more effect on the top end, running flat out and wide open, which most of us rarely do. Torque is the usable stuff. Sorry if this is off topic.

Even if a Blowmaster gave me more torque, the cab drone they create on fullsizes (dunno about Blazers, would think it's worse) and the fact they rot out so fast wouldn't warrant the gains. I know plenty of people who have swapped out their Flowmasters for Dynomax Bullets and found they had less drone... from a "race" muffler.

i have the magnaflow hi flow cat on my cav, along with an 18" glasspack cherrybomb resonater with a walker highflow muffler on it. She sounds nice to say the least and has allll the response i want - granted a bit off topic but not full out. Does actually gutting, welding, re plumbing, and packing a stock muffler cost less than a high flow one would cost u to install? may just be worth more to have a proper built one rather than a stitch welded back together muffler.
Btw PaulO2288 - he lives in Sudbury Ontario Canada.... pretty sure he see's more snow and salt n dirt than you and i combined! lol. i hear u tho on the snow/salt shat being unimaginable since it down right bothers me how fast my black jimmy goes white from driving in town :/
