Default I need some advice on a muffler

I am looking into getting a muffler for my 96 Blazer 4X4 with the 4.3 vortec but I dont have any idea what i need. I am looking at the 40 or 50 series flowmaster. I read a crap load of posts on here about these and they sound about like what i want. What all do I need to buy to get the good sound? Do i just need to get just the muffler or do I need to buy cat back? This is my first SUV and i have never pissed with exhaust on them. All i have ever owned that i did anything with the exhaust on was a probe gt and a probe gts. Any help to get me sarted would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks
Kenton

hey, welcome to the board, and tothe joy that is the Chevy Blazer, ok, really cheesy, only fun until something breaks.

Anyway, I would go for the cat back system, easier to mess with, and pretty good. just found a steal on Summit racing.com

here is link,

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
if link doesn't work, part number is summitracing.com part number WLK-17366.

But if you are set on just buying a muffler, I would recommend the Flo 40's or 50's. They have pretty good prices on summitracing.

Thanks for the friendly welcome! That looks like a pretty good deal to me! I like the price. For me being a college student about ready to graduate and just starting my new full time job cheaper is better! Thanks for the advice, I will for sure keep this set up in

If you want a cheap muffler that has a great sound. Glasspack is the only way yo go. A glasspack costs like $20. Plus clamps and maybe some extension tubing. You can do the whole thing for less then $50 in your driveway.
