if you're worried about heat in the intake tube, DEI makes a heat reflective wrap that will fit over the FIPK tube.

Is it really that big of an issue? I thought the issue was actually pulling in hot air... I would think that because the cold air only flows through the piping for a split second it shouldn't really heat up...

IVe got a FIPK...Works good...gives a sound. Thats about it. Dont expect to get any real results with an intake. Maybe a tiny bit in higher end of the gears(mine did, in my 5 speed blazer). Either would ahve been a good choice, really jsut comes down to preffernce

Instead of a outside wrap or the like, how about a plastic liner for the aluminum with a thin asbestos separator between the two. A bit elaborate I am sure but the heat transfer would be cut way down thinking with my gray matter anyway.... Course there is probably some reason that it would nt be feasible.
anybody have any thoughts on this. It would be easy enough to set up a proto just to see the basics.

Fo sho! I have this on my Impala. clickety. After it arrived, I realized someone cut up aluminum, bent it up, and threw a few things in it and marketed it.

I had to purchase a 9" K&n cone seperately.

18.1 all winter. TB spacer makes the hood bulge upwards.
