purchased a super 44...have some issues/options
So I purchased a Super 44 muffler from streetsideauto and took it to a Merlin today. They quoted me the cheapest price ($40-$80) to install it after calling 6 shops around me. Apparently I ordered the wrong size, which was a 2.5' in /2.5' out. My current pipes are all 2.25'. I was wondering what you guys think I should do...
1. Pay $125 to have Merlin fit this muffler
2. Send this muffler back to get a 2.25'in/out
3. Get 2.5' pipes (I assume I would only need pipes after the cat? Also, if I got new pipes, I would also splurge and get headers put on.)
So, basically I'm asking if it's worth upgrading from 2.25' to 2.5'

Your money and your call. You won't notice any performance difference between the 2.25' and the 2.5' pipes.

Would there be a difference in the exhaust note?

It might be slightly lower.
