I have a 2000 4x4 blazer, and i want to put a new muffler/tip on. Im leaning towards getting a flowmaster muffler, and i was curious if anyone has one if they are happy with it, what part number and series should i get, and what price range am i lookin at?

300?! Are you sure? Was that for complete exhaust system or just the muffler? Cause a super 40 costs about 65-75 bux depends on where you get it. And an exhaust shop(well my local exhaust shop) charges about 30 bux to weld on a new muffler and tip.

Ok, thats where I got messed up because he said he was looking for just a muffler and tip price and not for a whole new exhaust system. So thats what I thought you were referring too, sorry.

My 1997 has a Flowmaster 40-series and I really like the sound! You probably can't use this info but, I paid $80.00 to buy and install only the muffler. That being said, I know the guy who owns the muffler shop and I cut my old muffler out for him, so all he had to do was weld on some pipe (the flowmaster is much shorter than the stock muffler) and weld it in. I did buy two flowmaster race mufflers for my Caprice and they cost me about $155.00 to carry them out of Jegs. These are older and I could swear that they said 50-series with no baffles/restrictions. They Are VERY LOUD! But I also have headers and 3" chambered exhaust on that car. My suggestion, go with a 40-series street muffler and have a shop install for about $30.00 (like 88s10blazer said) all together about $100 and you'll be very happy with it!

AND WELCOME TO THE SITE!

I have a series 40 on my 1991, and I am severely dissapointed with it. It is quiet, to mellow for me, and it cuts in and out at times.

it cost me 166 bucks for install and everything at my local Midas.

sometimes I wonder if they installed the thing backwards, if possible.

click on the link to my cardomain site, I have a video clip of my exhaust on there if you want to hear it on there.
