Default 2" bl & the tailpipe

can anyone show me a picture of how they have bent their tailpipe after a body lift?

because this sucks

i fixed the spare tire jack hole on the bumper (it needs aligned), but i dont want to go bending the tailpipe without having a look at the finished product first.

I have a different tailpipe on mine so I didn't even notice but if it's bugging you I would cut it up 2" higher?

yeah this tailpipe is kind of a pain. as you can see in this picture there isnt really much that a a simple cut and a tip will fix . I think Im just going to get a piece of 2 1/2" pipe and bend my own tailpipe.

just cut it right where it bends down. about 4in or so in. Then put a tip on it

yeah im not really a big fan of tips. That first bend after the mounting hook still is hanging down quite a bit from a direct side shot.

I can start with a piece of straight pipe and bend my own fairly easily.

edit: here is a smaller direct side shot.

Its not mine, it's from a member named "zero psi" that used to post on this site.

I saw this Xtreme recently with duals right next to his license plate.

This is mine

I plan on installing a body lift so I'll be in the same predicament you're in. I'll probably just cut it off after the muffler

I have toyed with this idea..... Yay or Nay....

Modifying the headers to run through the frame and act as both exhaust and motor mounts... Possible? or just plain stupid?

I saw how people like to clean up old hot rods and make it look bare... so I thought if they took this approach and rand headers into the frame.... and then similar to an earlier post and put them out the side of the bumper....
