Since I can't search for any words with less than three characters, this is a little hard to find.
Does anyone make a 3" BL kit for 1997 Blazer? All I seem to find is 2".

I believ 2 inch is all they have for 2nd gen blazers. I got a 99 and i had to use a 2 inch plus a 1 inch t bar crank and shackles to give me 3 inches. hope that helps.

I see 3" BL for all Blazer models except for 95 - 97. They are available for 98+ models.
I wonder why they don't have them for those years.

Where? The only real difference between the early and late 2nd gen body lifts are the relocation brackets for the rear bumper.

Is it for a late 2nd gen or is it from a 1st gen?

As far as I can tell, simple answer, no. For whatever reason, body lift kit builders hate your truck...
Try this is a 2" BL, this is a 2" SL, +1.5" t bar and +2-2.5" shackles and you're towering over everyone but the 6" SL guys...
OR you COULD* buy a 2" kit, buy an equivilant number of 1" spacers, get longer bolts, stack them up and make your own 3" BL with 2" bumpers....
*any death that occurs due to this is on you though

You could technically fab your own 3" BL too. Just make some 3" blocks and longer bolts. As Curtis so finely included in his fine print, this would be at your own risk as well...probably not going to be as safe as an actual BL kit.
Actually, come to think of it...why wouldn't a 3" kit for a later model Blazer work? Was there much that changed from 97 to 98 as far as the underpinnings go?

The early 2nd gen body lift is supposed to be identical to the late 2nd gen body lift except for the rear bumper lift mounts. I still don't know of any early 2nd gen 3" body lift but I might have missed something. I know there are some that have used a 1st gen 3" body lift on their 2nd gen. I would imagine you'd have to fab up rear bumper brackets at least.
SSG---How are you gonna do the 2"SL and a 2" Tbar lift?
They both do the same thing...crank the Tbars.
