33x12.50 15s
I have a 1993 blazer 4x4 and am looking at going away from the stock 235/75 r15. I have a friends that is letting me get a set of 33x12.50 to go on my blazer dirt cheap. i need to know what i have to do to accomidate the larger tires. i want to do this as cheap as possible since money is a issue like it is with most people. just a play toy and not wanting to invest alot into it. any help would be greatly appreciated

6" lift and some trimming. Not gonna be a cheap solution to fit 33's.

Even if you cut away the fenders they're still going to rub on the inside/frame.

You might be able to get away with 33s with a 3" body lift, lift shackles, and t bar crank and some cutting.
I have a 5/6" Trailmaster lift, 3" body lift with 35x12.5 and Cregars with a 4.75" backspace. They don't rub the frame. You'll definatly have to cut the fender by the fire wall but that's not a problem.
I think you'll be able to get away with it...
Good luck...

well that does help me some. If i put a rim on it that has more back spacing and pushes the tires out more would i still have to do all the trimming? what is the cheapest way to get 6 inches of lift? i really want to put these tires on here

The 5" and 6" have MSRPs around $2k unless you can score a great deal on a used one. You could always buy the 33's and post a trade on craigslist. I come across people trying to trade up/down ALL the time after purchasing larger or smaller tires than they wanted.

Crank the torsion bars 1.5" if you can. If the bolts are already maxed out you'll need reindexed keys. Then buy 2" lift shackels for the rear. They're around $50 and you can get them from Ebay. The 2" lift shackels will be 4" longer than stock, Which would be a total of 10". They won't lift the rear 4" just 2".
So that right there gives you 4.5" Front and 5" in the rear. And it cost about $175 for everything assuming you don't need keys.
Cutting your fender by the firewall isn't a problem, if you want I can post a picture of how I had to cut my fenders for my 35s...

Okay yare telling me that I can put these tires on with alittle work. When I look in the wheel wells in the front I can see my motor. Does that mean the fenders are already cut out. If I am only putting 2 inch lift shackles on the back how am I getting 5 inches? And if I am turning the torrsion keys 1.5 turns how is that giving me 5 inches in the front. If I go with a 15x9 rim how much or little back spacing will I need? I am looking at the gragar soft 8 rims in black. Are those bad rims?

The way you'll get 5" of lift in the rear is with the 3" body lift AND 2" lift shackles lift. You'll get 4.5" of lift in the front by 1.5 t-bar crank AND 3" body lift. I posted this above....
Now with the fenders, I have attached pictures of where you would need to cut the fenders...
With the rims, Cregars are good wheels. I have 15" Cregar Window D rims with a 4.75" Backspace. They work great for me...
