8 inch lift help

Question 8 inch lift help

i have an 86 k5 with a 6.2 im lifting it 8 inches but i wanted to knwo everthing ill need i have a good idea but i just wanna hear from all the guys that have already done it thanks,

So you are using 8" leaf packs front and rear?.. If not, I don't recommend more than a 4" block in the rear. And DO NOT use blocks in the front. Off the top of my head you will need:

-To extend both drive shafts
-Longer front brake lines
-Longer diff tube vents
-Raised steering arm
-Longer shocks to match the lift
-Swaybar lowering blocks

On a side note: Once you install the lift, don't pull yourself up into the vehicle via the steering wheel... tends to mess up tilt steering columns.

for the steering arm how big do i need to go i saw some 4 and 6 inch but will taht work with my 8 inch kit? do i need a transfer case drop? also wheres the best website to buy all this?
