Default Backspacing Help

I have a 1997 bravada with a 2" shackle lift and a 1.5" t bar lift on 31x10.5s. I was wondering if anybody knows the backspacing on stock wheels. I was thinking about doing a body lift but if i do id want the support of a wider stance. Does anybody know how far I could go without hitting my fenders? Any help would be appreciated.

6" back space is stock. I wouldn't go any lower than a 4" back space.

I have 4.5" backspacing and the same lift as you and I trimmed my fenders and still have a little rubbing when I'm off roading.

yea I don't have a body lift. I wouldn't worry so much about the rubbing. I rub when I hit a bump with my wheels turned and its bouncing all over the place. Even when I'm crawling over rocks and uneven surfaces they don't rub

Oh alright thanks. By the way i like the little shrugging guy. Have you ever had problems with having your wheels stick out too much? Police wise?

I've heard of a couple cops going after people and doing the "water down the fender" thing, if any water hits the tread of your tire then you're illegal.

If you're that worried about it get bushwacker flares... You'll have to cut them right at the seam of the rear door though, just so you can open the door.

my front tires stick out maybe 1/2" my rear tires are almost perfectly even with the fenders. most cops and inspection places only get **** about it if they stick out more than an inch and a half. My friend's jeeps wheels stuck out a good inch and she never had any trouble with the police

I always thought those laws were just kind of ignored around here. i know a few people who have jeeps with tires well over 3" over. But my friend just got a ticket so i'm rethinking that. Is it just a fix-it ticket or is there an actual fine?
