Default Body Lift ?

Im about to by my BL kit...I was just wondering if anyone has used this kit yet and what there opinion on it was or should I just pay more for a PA BL kit instead? I`ve been trying to locate a 3" lift for the 98+ models but havent had much luck...Any one got any leads on where to get a 3inch.... Also is a 3" more hassle than a 2" to install or about the same? Here is the kit I was asking about : Zone Offroad 2" Body Lift Kit 98 99 00 01 02 03 04 Chevy GMC S10 Blazer Jimmy | eBay

Thanks guys...

Short answer: 3 inch does not exist for a second gen, you can use one from a first gen blazer but its a pretty big PITA.. Stick with the 2 inch. You can search on here for more info on the 3" BL tho.

Yup & then there's the bumper brackets that won't fit from the 1st gen kit. Your bumpers will be at stock height & the body 3" above them. Filler hose will be maxed out, lower fan shroud will interfere with the fan unless you get 3" spacer tubes & longer bolts. The air filter or air box will be in a different position because the body is raised up.
You WILL however have a super easy time changing spark plugs through the fender wells because the steering shaft will be elevated enough.
Look in my bucket below & you'll see what a 3: BL looks like on a 2nd gen without bumper brackets. The PO had it installed before I bought it.

Tim Hortons & Canadian Classics lol
Is that a Ford in the garage? Looks like a Fairlane by the tail lights.
YAY battery is removed - no more country music!
Oh the language lol. What kind of strap, what kind of bumper, what kind of saw?

Lol nice vid!!! I know lots of time & video editing/effort went into that. WTG the extra mile! Taking the vids while doing the install probably added a couple hours to the project, so others can keep that in mind. You stopping to grab the cell & do a walk around all the time & talk about things takes time.

It's actually an '86 Firebird in the garage I didn't do much editing, more so just linked all my clips together and removed some poor ones hehe. I wish someone would sticky this and my rough country install video. Would help alot of people with questions!

I did the 3" on my 1gen, and it was a PITA... Fan shroud had to get butchered on the bottom half, trans cooler lines didnt want to bend to fit very easily and come dangerously close to the fan blades now, had to remove those safety straps that attach the body to the frame, they werent long enough... The only advantage I see is that it would be a snap to get those bastard upper transmission bolts off now!

Get 3' spacers/tubes/tubing the bolts fit in to & longer bolts so you don't have to butcher the lower fan shroud.
It's important & makes a difference.
