I bought a 97 bravada and am reaching its limits off road. I tweaked the torsion bars an inch and made a set of 2" shackles. Thinkin bout gettin a body lift and 31s. I have noticed not many people did the 3" body lift. Is there a reason for it? I can get either for the same price.

also id love to see pics of a blazer, bravada, or jimmy with a similar set up or body lifts only.

It is because the 3" body lift is only made for the first generations. Everything is pretty much the same other than the bumper mounts are different so you would have to make your own if you buy the 3" body lift. I would probably be easier to just get the 2 in body lift made for the second generations. then that way everything would be a direct fit. even with a 2" body lift you will have plenty of room to put 31's. I have the tbars cranked and shackles and I'm running 31's

I found this one on amazon for a 98 to 03. Don't know if it will fit on a 97 though. Hopefully someone can get use from it.

I was reading it says "Body Lift Kit; 2 in. Lift; Incl. Front/Rear Bumper Brackets; | Veh. w/Vortec V6 May Require Modification Of Air Intake Or Air Intake Hose~ Rear Bumper Brackets Enhance Appearance Only: Bumper Cannot Be Used To Tow~ ZR-2 Model Requires Modification To Steering Column Mounting Flange~ Gap Guards Available And Sold Separatel" not sure what modifications it is all talking about and notice how it says 2 inch body lift. I don't know if I would trust this

How did you make your own shackles?
They're online for $50, but I'm an engineering student at Western Michigan University and have training and access to CAD software and machining stuff. Can I use this to make my own? Let me know!
THanks,
Dan
