Getting lucky??... Or maybe they are swapping out the gears to match their rear axle...

What do you mean? Are you having trouble finding one with the proper ratio?

Maybe the original vehicle never did come with that ratio, but you should look into getting 3.42 gears that would fit. Either that or upgrade to 3.73's or whatever the ratio of that axle is in your rear axle.. You likely will want to anyway if you go to larger tires (which who wouldn't go to larger tires with a SFA swap).

If youre going to regear an axle anyway...why not find a D30 with 3.73s or 4.11s, then just regear the stock rear?

3.42s are just so small for any upsized tire
