why do u need a drop pitman for 2" lift? 2" sounds like its still ifs, and in that case use oem replacement.

A drop pitman arm will not work if its stock ifs.

It will work you just don't need one with an ifs. Prolly only make the idler arm wear out faster than they do now on these trucks.

stock pitman arm has the tie rod end built in. any drop pitman does not.

he would have to make a custom drag link, one end would have to have the tapered hole for idler arm. the other end would need a threaded insert to accept a tie rod end. then even further this drag link would still need to accept oem tie rod ends.

Note even if u did manage to do all this, the new angle would destroy both idler and tie rod end very very quickly.

so yes a drop pitman from a xj will bolt onto our steering box...will it work for ifs...no

replacing the bushings on ur stock arm or replacing the arm would tighten ur steering up. putting a drop arm on an ifs rig wouldnt benefit u any. just replace urs with a stock oem one and grease it and u should be fine.
