okay so i have my T-bars maxed out, and am running 31,10.5 r15s and sitting next to a ZR2 i am atleast the same hight if not 1/2 taller so my question is, why do i have rubbing when the suspention in leaning or if i turn and hit a bump. it happens on dirt roads and pulling into some driveways how much more does a ZR2 have over me for travel? thanks

 

Do you have a picture of your truck somewhere?

 

zr2's have a different frame, so the tires don't rub... at least on the frame. where exactly do your tires rub?

 

butters, do you have mud flaps on the front?

just asking because i run 31 10.5's on stock rims and rub the front mud flaps slightly every time i make a sharp turn while hitting a bump or dip (my driveway).

 

i have no mud flaps and they rub on the very bottom/outside of the fender, original blazer look the fender at the bottom is a half inch forward sticking into the wheel well. i have pushed it in but still have rubbing.

also i am running pruven offroad rims that has a higher backspacing and makes the tires stick out more then factory with just regular rims.

 

also the outside of the wheel is close to rubbing when the wheels are turned all the way but they dont, the rubbing is on the other side. inside of tire rubs that little bit of the fender with a 90degree turn with a bump or hill

 

ZR2's have a stiffer suspension as well. Sounds like maybe you have soft t-bars that are letting your ride bottom out easier...

 

my thoughts exactly. just because you can crank them up that high, doesn't mean they were engineered to ride well at that height. that's why "kits" have so many things in them-including new TB's-and alot of people say, "well, i already have that part on there, so i'm not gonna use theirs".

 

Im willing to bet that your issue is the back spacing of your rims, because when i take my mudflaps off, i have no rubbing of any kind, no matter how much my suspension travels, or how sharp I turn.

i was going to mention that too, but figured it was obvious with the tires being farther out, they'll make contact sooner. if he had stiffer bars, it (more than likely) wouldn't happen. has anyone bothered to see if the T-bars have different pt#'s?
