Default How much will install cost me ???

Just trying to figure out some prices on how much installation will cost for a 2.5" suspension lift and a 3" body lift I was assuming it would cost around $450 - $500 to get both installed does that seem like to much or should labor costs be cheaper than that? I am only asking because I am not comfortable in my mechanical ability and do not want to attempt to do it myself. Thanks.

450 to 500 sounds right for labor costs. Although parts included it will be +/-1,000.

You always want to think on the high side so you don't get surprised by a higher bill.

Depends on local labor rates, I've seen them anywhere from $60 to over $100 per hour.

If nothing goes wrong the BL is only about 3-4 hour job. Never done the 2.5 lift but from what I understand if I was shooting prices I would guess 6-8 hours.

That is only if everything goes good, no broken bolts, no rusted out body mounts, and anything like that. I would have to see the truck in person before I put it on paper.

Okay so I am going to say around $600 for labor costs just in case of some unexpected issues because I am sure something will need replaced due to rust or what not. Parts are only going to run me $820 with shipping so I guess I am looking around $1,500 but that isn't too bad, that is cheaper than buying a 5" lift by itself that would run me around $1,800 + next step is to find tires I wanted to do 34's which I am sure would fit since I will have a total of 5.5" of lift from the body and suspension lift plus another 2" or so from the 34's so I am anticipating my total amount to come out to about 7.5" and price wise around $2,700 - $3,000 for all parts and labor including unexpected costs. I also wanted to know can I just buy tires (34") and use my stock wheels? and does anyone know of a website where I can decent tires that won't cost like $1600 - 1700 for all 4? and one more thing if I run 34's do I need to change my gears to like 4.56 if so how much would that run me? if I just go with 33's can I use the same gears that are already installed? Thanks.

I wouldn't count on being able to run anything bigger than 31s.

Honestly I wouldn't run anything bigger than 33s on the weak aluminum front diff. Add to the weak parts I doubt the gearing in your truck would even like anything bigger than 31s.

I have a 3 inch bl and the 1.5 crank and can't fit anything bigger than 31s.
