How much would a 2inch shackle lift effect gas milage? and other ?'s about the lift
So I'm Considering doing 2 inch shackle lift to my blazer but need some more info.
Vehicle: 94 s10 blazer 2wd
Question 1. Do the shackles only go on the back? or back and front? if they only go on the back do you lift up the front for it to be even with the back.
Question 2. Is there a certain brand of shackles that are more reputable than others or will this work fine?

Question 3. is there any considerable wear and tear on the vehicle due to a shackle lift? (also doing a 2" Tbar Crank with this)
Question 4. How much gas mileage can i expect to lose. currently i avg 17-18 miles a gallon. ( will be running 235/75/r15's with the lift till I order some bigger tires.)
The Gas mileage part will be the deal breaker for me.

1. The shackles only go in the back.
2. I have a set of brand new Fabtech shackles if you want to buy them.
3. Shackles wont cause any more wear but a tbar crank will. I recommend not going any higher than 1.5in for the tbar crank
4. With the same size tires you will not notice much difference in millage. It will go down slightly, maybe .5-1mpg just because you will be higher up and pushing slightly more air.

For the front you can crank the tbars just dont go any more than 1.5in

Uhhh, doesnt the 2WD have coil springs not torsion bars??? Im pretty sure they do have coil springs cause Ive lowered an old baby v8 blazer before. My kid brothers 2000 had coil springs too.
Also if you are concerned about gas milage, then dont buy those big tires and lift it up, cause thats only going to make it worse. Your RPMs might go down, but the truck is going to have to work harder to turn the big meats.

Beat me to the punch on the T bar thing. Only 4X4s have them. 2 wheel drives do indeed have coils up front.

k. any body suggest a company for the parts to do the front lift?

get a coil spacer from Pep boys or something like that i believe you can get them fairly cheap and they come in 1 1/2 -2"

oh yeah I forgot it was 2wd. You can get coil spacers to lift up the front
