Level my jimmy out?
Hey everyone I'm new to this forum so I am still trying to figure it out. I have the two door jimmy with a real bad nose dive. I really want the front end to sit higher but I have heard bad things about torsion cranks, anyone have some good advice?

You can crank it up a little. anything over 2 1/2ish inches can affect the cv axles. Just do a little at a time until it looks good to ya.

Well when i was up underneath it looked like one was already turned most of the way an the othe bar looked brand new and the bolt wasn't tight. I just recently bought it. I'm still new to this and still learnin. Never had a 4wd before.

bolt wasnt tight? Hmm weird i can back mine almost all the way out and its still tight/hard to turn
When the suns up tomorrow raise the front end a little with a jack, then get a wrench and tighten em up 6-8 turns and see what it does.

I turned them both 2 turns, got about a half inch of lift. One torsion bar appears new. I think that is why one bolt is maxed and the other has plenty of room to move.

hows the truck look now ?

It's better but it's not as high as I'd like it to be.

If one of the bars is new, that bolt should be backed out further than the other. The way I'm reading this, it sounds like the new one is further in?

The older bars Bolt it all the way in and the new bars bolt it pretty far loose. Is it hard to replace a torsion bar?

Oh ok, I guess I was just reading that wrong then. As for replacing the t-bar, I'm not sure exactly what's involved. A quick search will probably get the information you need.
