Question Planning on a lift

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer LS and I am looking to get it lifted.

I have no experience with lifting cars and I will most likely have some one do it for me. However I have a few questions:

What type of shop would do a lift for me?

Body or Suspension lift?

Approx. cost?

----

Thanks.

All depends on what you want to do with your ride.
Torsion bar crank will get you 1.5 inches up front...free
Rear lift shackles will get you 2 inches...100.00 or so
body lift 2 - 3 inches 200-300
suspension lifts will get you 5 - 6 inches for 1600 - 2000

Those prices are my best guess and materials only.

Do a search...there are alot of options and combinations you can do.

Can't forget the RC 2.5" suspension lift for 420ish
If you upgrade to 31x10.5" tires you will gain a little bit of ground clearance aswell

Wow thanks guys. One of my main questions though would be

What kind of shop would do this for me? I would not be able to perform this myself, sadly.

you would have to search your local area.
around here in michigan we have "truck" shops that do upgrades.

a parts dealer like BDS should be able to tell you a local shop...as they would need to send the lift kit somewhere.

also, i have found it cheaper ,at least at the place i go to for things like this, to have the shop order it for you.
