Ok guys i have a couple questions. I have a 2002 blazer with a 2" bl and want more lift but id rather go for the SFA conversion route. I want to slowly start putting together a lift.

I dont want to go crazy though i just want to run 33s or 35s. Im kinda new to the whole SFA deal also. If anyone could make a list of the parts i need to do such a lift that would be great!

also im aware the doing the Sfa conversion will make the qualitly of the ride decrease but by how much?

 

take a ride in an older wrangler that is lifted and has leafs in the front that will be a similar ride to what you will have with a sfa swap. I think the best axles for you would be either dana 30's or 44's. I'm not sure what else you might need , don't really know much more other than you need to be pretty good at welding and have a lot of patients

 

I would start HERE while I do much prefer this forum that site has tons of info on SFA readily available for reading also a section devoted to SFA builds may want to read through some of those to get an idea of what issues folks run into etc. also one of their members owns 4wdfactory and gives parts discount to forum members and is currently working with off road direct to develop a new SFA kit (leaf spring version is done and in testing atm)

Its easy... Ill have a whole write up on mine in a few weeks if all goes well. Wagoneer front leafs (or rancho 44044 leafs) and pitman arm, Astro van steering box, Cherokee axles (61f,60r WMS to WMS) with the 4.10:1 gears, mounting tabs, bushings, 1st gen t-case... Ill let you know what front drive shaft you can use soon...

Wait...did I say easy... How well are you at custom fab? I find it easy... Just look at the skyline tails I made on my 3rd gen lude...

If I'm thinking right it would be in a different location or height to allow for your other components to work with out rubbing or clearance issues
