Tucking 33's?

RE: Tucking 33's?
Ah...a very important point. Probably shouldn't even go as small as 15x8 for a good sized 33 right? Even if it would be 'safe'...it would be awfully bubble-like on the sidewall[:'(]

RE: Tucking 33's?
I would def stick with a 15x8 wheel versus a 15 x7.

Yours are 33x12.5s right? Doesn't look too rounded at all!

RE: Tucking 33's?
im planning on running a 15x8 wheel with a 5-5.5" offset, if yall think that would be about the best way to go?? Im also now thinking of changing my plans a lil bit!! Instead of cranking my t-bars and risking front end troubles and having to beat my fenders to death, im thinking about just spending the cash and getting a superlift6" SL and a 2"BL. how would a set of 35x12.50 fit on this setup with the earlier mentioned wheel? when going to a 35" tire are there any new problems to look at? Id really like to run a 35" tire and get it sitting as high as possible cuz that would just be sexy!! Ive looked around a lil bit and havent really seen anyone using this setup though?? thanks again fellas

RE: Tucking 33's?
your going to have to trim with the 35's with the 6 and the 2" and even 33's with e 2" and 2". There are more problems, you are very under geared, its going to put strain on your tranny and rear diff.

RE: Tucking 33's?
so id prolly be better off sticking with the 33's and 2"bl, shackles and t-bars..... ive priced from a few places and about the best ive found on the 6"SL, BL, wheels and 35"tires is around 3 grand!! Id hate to spend that kind of cash and start destroying diffs and trannys. I can prolly stick with the first plan and do it around a grand. (srry im thinking out loud here) but Ill prolly go with the original plan. the trimming will consist of inner wheel wells, front fender sheet metal???? do you just take a sledge to the fender or a sawz all? i feel kinda dumb but if someone could explain in detail the trimming process itd be greatly appreciated, Im also havin a lil trouble finding a 15x8 wheel with anything over 4.75 backspacing? prolly not lookin in the right places - thanks all

RE: Tucking 33's?
A 3.73 rear axle will handle 35's. Just not as efficiently as 4.11's.... I know several people running 35's on 3.73 auto locking silverados. Only one of them had had any problems. But he built his truck from junkyard parts and eventually broke them. He replaced his rear with a new 3.73 diff and has about 60K on it with 35's.. no problem. He just gets bad gas mileage. Be sure to check for these common questions in the Answer to FAQ sticky at the top of the section. I didnt waste my time making it for noone to read it..lol
