Default ZR2 Supspension Question

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum so please bear with me here. I just bought a '97 S15 2-door Blazer (Plain Jane). I'm intrested in lifting it like the ZR2's are. Does anybody know what parts make up the lift on the ZR2 (such as: torsion bars, or key ways)??? I've tried turning up the torsion bars but it dosen't give me the lift that I need to fit 31's. I've also purchased a torsion bar off of eBay, and I am unable to make it work correctly. So, I would like to stick with my origonal plan and just stick with stock parts to create the lift. ANY information would be helpful!!!

Thanks,
-Ken

The ZR2s have a different frame. Thats is why they sit higher. It has nothing to do with the suspension. To fit 31s you can get a body lift a crank the torsion bars slightly. You dont want to crank the tbars more than 1.5in though. Cause it will cause the CVs to be at very extreme angles and the will break.

yes, the frame is altogether different. i dont know about the regular blazers, but on my zr2, after i cranked my tbars up, i liked the angle better. the cv's were more or less level with the ground, no angles at all.
