last week my alternator stated to hum when i turn the key to run, and at the same time i started to get a battery drain. is my alternator bad, and is the drain related. the drain is about 2 days from full charge to Nada at 55-30f

 

Very likely related.
Disconnect one side of battery. Key off.
Remove the big red wire at alt and prop that wire terminal so it cant touch anything. Reconnect battery and see if it sparks a little when you brush it against its post connection.
Be VERY careful, that's the full battery power in your hand, don't let it touch anything else.

If it sparks, alt needs repaired or replaced.
