Default 03 blazer front turn signal socket

I'm trying to figure out how to wire a socket in for the front turn signals. I got mine off of a wrecked car. It is the same 3 wire socket but the wires are colored differently. One the socket on the truck the wires are brown, green, and black. I'm sure black is ground but which one is the turn signal wire the green or brown?

Do you have a testing light? You can make one by soldering a wire to the two terminals of a small light bulb. Then you can test the connections with the lights and turn signals on. A multimeter should work too.

I have a multi meter and couldn't figure out how to test it. I found out which connectors were which ones but couldn't figure out where the connectors went. The wires are sealed into the socket so I couldn't test it from that side. I found a lot of videos and they show that the outside one is for the turn signals so I just went with it and it works.

Brown should be running lights and green should be the turn signal (right turn signal, to be specific). What are the colors on your "new" connector?

New connector is all black... I figured it out. The black which I knew is ground is on the outside. The other outside wire is the turn signal the middle one is parking lights.
