Default 2000 Trailblazer LT 5.3 4wd Trailor fuses

I am working a friends trailor. He had no lights working. Got the blinkers working and that was all. I crossed a ground and blew my tester and got another today. Now no lights are working. I am guessing I blew a fuse under the hood. I didn't even think about that until I was reading here. Are these fuses covered? The reason I ask is that I don't want to have to go buy all the trailor fuses if not needed. So do I need to test them or is there a way to look and tell if one is blown. 2000 TrailblazerLT 5.3 4wd. To my knowledge there is no fuses between harness connector and harness like my old 87 ford truck had.

Thanks in advance.

Default under the hood.

As far as I know there is not one on the side panal for the trailor harness from what I saw yesterday. I'll be going out there in awhile after some java to ck and see if i can test them.

I would think the trailer harness would be on the same fuse as your brake lights, since all it is, is spliced into the wires usually on the drivers side tail light. I would start by taking the panel off in the rear of the truck and finding where it splits.

Your right Rich. I checked the fuses under the hood and all of the 10amp's were shot. It was the firdt time I had ever opened that box under the hood and was thrilled to see they were standard flat fuses. But the miniture ones. To say the least, once replaced and after i got the tralor rewired all lights are working. For an FYI, make sure when ya go to buy new fuses that you don't ask the clerk for them. He'll bring the larger flat fuses to ya instead of the smaller flat fuses.
