Default 89 S10 Blazer Glove Box Bulb Removal

How do I remove that glove box bulb? The hole in the side of the glove box is about one inch diameter. Can't get my fingers in there. So, remove the glove box?
It looks like a #194 bulb, but not positive.
I've read a few related posts, but evidently those newer models are slightly different.
NOTE: Plastic hinge on my glove box door broke. Got that fixed, but I don't trust that light going out. It's 12deg today. Don't want a dead battery..And dont need a light in there.

Can you squeeze the back corners of the glovebox towards each other so the whole box unlatches and rotates down? Not familiar with an '89, but I'm just assuming it doesn't have the spring clip at the top like later models...but I really don't know one way or the other.
