Default 97 Blazer electrical issue! Help!

So I bought my 97Blazer about 6 months ago and about a month ago I crashed over an icy road, hitting a tree. I towed it out myself and it started up right away and the wheels remained in alignment. Now, the car will not start. I do not believe the crash was relevant to my current issue but I am no expert. Please assist me in this diagnosis if you are able. So the key turns, as well as the engine but it does not fire. This first happened when I put the key in and noticed the dashboard lights were not turning on when the key was in the on position. I decided the issue was electrical so I started with the ignition. I replaced the tumbler and got new keys but that did not fix the problem. Does anyone know what the source of the problem might be?

1997 ignition switch, (not the lock cylinder) is unique to 1997. It has a high failure rate, and might be the problem. However, replacing the lock cylinder and keys just created another problem Unless you added the new keys before replacing the lock cylinder, the Passkey security system does not recognize the new keys, this will cause the PCM to disable the injectors. You can add keys for the system to recognize, but it requires the original key to initiate the "learning" procedure. Ignition must be turned to the RUN position with the original key. The option is have a GM dealer reprogram Passkey.
