99 2-door rear window button bad?

99 2-door rear window button bad?
I'm the proud new owner of a '99 2-dr blazer LS. I've noticed that the keyfob remote & push-button switch on the dash will pop the rear window, but the push-button switch on the tailgate does not appear to operate properly.
Does this switch need to be replaced?
