Default after engine swap electric goes haywire

I did an engine swap on a 96 blazer and replaced it with an engine from a 96 s-10. After replacing it and hooking everything up including the battery all the lights come on in the dash, headlights, overheads, and there is a rapid clicking from the starter. This is all while the KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION.

I have looked everywhere and cannot find any problem similar to this. Please help!!!

I would go over all of the wiring. It sounds like you have power feeding back through somewhere. I would take a close look at the starter.

I had thought I had messed up the wires to the starter but there is really no way to do that. I also took the starter in to have it tested. It started fine. It was a little lazy but nonetheless it still started.

We even took the starter relay off to see if maybe that was the issue and when we do that of course it doesnt click anymore but everything else still comes on when you try connecting the battery.
