Default Alarm question

I noticed when I got in my Blazer, in the top left corner of the cluster, there is a security light that comes on. What would I need to do to get the remotes for this, and are they going to be expensive?

My 02 grand prix and my 98 blazer both have those security lights, to my knowledge thats for the chip in the key. If the chips nt there, the light either stays on, or flashes. Dnt remember which. Dnt think its anything to do with the keyless entry.

Oh, alright. I just noticed it when I started my truck the other day. It shut off and doesn't come on until I start the rig. I don't have the chips in my keys.

There's no chip in the key, the passlock system uses a sensor within the ignition to tell if a key has been inserted.

But yeah, that security light is supposed to be there, and you don't need anything special because of it.

I just figured, since there was a security light, maybe I could get some remotes for my door locks?
