Question for expert alarm installer?
I just got a alarm/keyless entry system for my 1998 blazer 4 door. it has power locks but not factory keyless entry or alarm. Whats a good brand universal remote start add-on and passlock2 bypass to buy for this? where do you recomend buying from? here is a picture of the wiring of the alarm

Honestly, It would be better to return the alarm/keyless and get one that does everything instead of adding on a piggyback remote start, sometimes you'll catch heck trying to get them to work together, unless you want two seperate remotes. The shop that I work at uses autopage only, and in the two years I've been there I've only had 1 come back with problems, they're pretty much bulletproof. http://www.autopageusa.com/t_inside....6-415b69298e0d I usually do one of these a week. And as far as the passlock 2 goes, you can either get a module for it, or on the passlock2 you can use a resistor on the passlock wire.

Thats a nice alarm..looks expensive. when shoping for a RS is there any features I should look for? Do I want RPM, voltage or oil pressure start?

They're not too expensive, ebay is littered with them for about $120. Most good RS's like autopage and clifford you can either use tach signal or voltage. In the last 2 years putting in the autopages, there's been one time I had to use the tach signal. I think it was on a dodge diesel or something like that. but with the autopage I mentioned, the 730, it's c3 compatable, the c3 is a control box you can plug into using a dedicated port on the alarm and you can use your cell phone to control it. Anywhere you have cellphone signal you can arm/disarm/start and track it. you could be in NY and the truck in LA and it would work. I think it costs $100 a year for the service.
