Default Battery Drain and Wiring Diagram Questions

As a new member, I appreciate your aim to keep the postings informative and to the point. There is also a battery drain on my '99 two-door Blazer. I became a member partly to see if there were any wiring diagrams. The Haynes manual I have is only marginally useful in that regard. Is there a source of diagrams other than the GM manuals mentioned in an earlier post?

Brit, take a look at AllDataDIY.com. If you intend on keeping your vehicle for a good while, a 5yr subscription is $50 which is a good investment for what is basically an electronic version of the factory manual with all of the technical service bulletins and addendums which are not included with a paper FSM. It gets cheaper from there for additional vehicles.

As far as your battery drain, there are a number of threads with tips on how to diagnose a draw, but if you've exhausted the most common diagnostic steps, you may want to start your own thread going over everything you have attempted in detail so we can see where to go from there.

Thanks. Using your test light method, the main battery drain, I discovered the hazard light flasher buzzed and the high battery draw dropped to a low amp draw. I am right to think there is always a small drain due to security lights such as the radio red flashing light and possibly others.

My other question is that I have watched several YouTube videos on electrical repairs to instruments such as fuel and voltmeter. I cannot, however, find the stepper motors that are referred to in these videos on E-bay or Amazon as cited there. I'm in Vancouver, Canada. Any help in finding these would be very helpful.
