Default Battery Drains

Good Morning,

I have a 1998 Blazer LS 4.3l Vortec V6 with 104,000 miles on it and I have owned it since 2000.

I have a very perplexing problem that has been going on for a few years now(it manifests itself in winter with the cold weather but once in a while it will do it when it is warm) I will drive the car the day before and it will start just fine and run like a champ. I will park it and come out the next morning, get in and try and start...nothing, no lights, no chimes no nothing.

I replaced the battery this winter with a brand new Exide battery. The alternator has been replaced and the dome light has been overridden for over a year. We have done at least 2 parasitic draw tests on the car and when everything "sleeps" the draw is less than 1 milliamp.

It happened again yesterday and I took the battery out and took it back to the point of sale thinking that the battery was bad. They tested and charged it and gave it a clean bill of health.

I am not really sure what to do next. Any suggestions? I welcome all thoughts.

Thank you
Don

Can I ask what Exide battery did you buy? I've just got my Blazer and it doesn't have the correct battery on it, looking around the UK battery sellers such as Euro Car Parts have a battery with the correct ah and cca but the dimensions seem too big?
What size is your battery?
Cheers
